There are a lot of portable navigation systems on the market. But there’s always room for some good ol’ Deutsche Gründlichkeit. In fact, a lot of major car manufacturers rely on Blaupunkt to supply them with a reliable built-in navigation system. You probably didn’t know that, did you? You’re not alone. Blaupunkt needed to spread the word about their qualitative, nicely designed portable navigation system models and D8 stepped up to the plate to create some serious one-on-one marketing action. We posted blue girls (shiny blue wigs included) at the entrance of several sales points to attract the consumers attention. These blue-wigged, blue-suited girls collaborated with trained salesmen who could easily bring consumers up to speed on the benefits of the Blaupunkt system. A classic demo, wrapped in a tempting blue wrapper. The results were quite gründlich too. Over 100,000 one-on-one contacts with 1 in 5 demos leading to a sale. In the end, we overshot the set target of the event by 125% (that’s a 225% result, if you’re counting).
